Glad Midsommar!

This weekend kicks off the cherished tradition of celebrating the summer solstice in Sweden. Since the late Middle Ages, fun events involving crowns of wildflowers, maypoles, singing, dancing and an abundance of food take place outdoors with family and friends. It's the perfect time to visit the country - especially sailing the coastal regions - and experience a sun that never sets. My husband has fond childhood memories of midsummer parties spent at his grandparents' home in Alingsås.

This week's post is a short version... We have been in Sweden for a family funeral and taking a few days to explore the fjords in Åndalsnes, Norway before heading back home. You can follow highlights on Instagram stories.

Wishing everyone a relaxing midsummer weekend!
